Our Beliefs
We believe in the triune God—God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. God is eternal, omnipotent, omnipresent, omniscient, and desires a personal relationship with human beings. Jesus is the One and Only Son of God, Who is born of a virgin, sent to this earth to reveal God the Father, to pay the price for mankind’s sins by dying on the cross, was buried, on the third day rose from the grave by the power of God, and ascended to Heaven. Jesus came the first time to earth as Savior, to destroy the works of the devil, is the only way to Heaven, and will return. The Holy Spirit is received upon a person’s acceptance of Jesus as Savior. He lives within every believer to guide, direct, convict, and intercede for the believer.
We believe that the Bible is the inspired Word of God in which He reveals Himself and shows the lifestyle that He desires for every believer. The Bible is our final authority on the revelation of God.
We believe that baptism is the outward sign of the New Covenant showing a personal commitment between God and the believer. Believer’s baptism should be by immersion signifying the identification with Jesus’ death, burial, and resurrection.
We believe the Lord’s Supper symbolizes the sacrifice of Jesus. The bread representing the body of Jesus and His work, while the cup represents His shed blood on the cross paying the price for sins. We believe in open communion.
We believe that every person is a sinner who has fallen short of the glory of God and is in need of Jesus as Savior. Every sin is listed in the Bible and can be forgiven by God. As long as we are here on earth, the Holy Spirit is at work on the believer to make changes so that he/she can conform to the image of Christ.
Further beliefs can be found in a study of the New Hampshire Articles of Confession.
